There are two different kinds of horse racing that is commonly held all over the world. You have the flat Horse Racing, where the horses compete around an oval track and the first horse across the line is declared the winner.

The other type of horse racing is the steeplechase horse race and is a completion where the horses are sent on to the racecourse one at a time. They horses are made to jump over hurdles in a specific route across the racecourse and are racing against the time. Every hurdle that is knocked down adds penalty time to the overall time achieved and if the horse of the jockey falls off, then the run is disqualified.
